Hi everyone, I’m Amy Li. HIT member from San Francisco. I’m coming to NYC 5/1-5/8, for a Columbia University’s health tech conference at Time Square 5/5-5/7. https://www.hitlab.org/springsummit26/ Anyone may have extra bed I can crush? Location can be more flexible before 5/5. I feel a bit embarrassed to ask. I’m a Stage IV cancer survivor turned social impact entrepreneur and built a patented AI telehealth platform to support older adults and patients like me who are often stuck at home. We won a lot of awards but healthcare is complicated so we still figuring out a sustainable business model, which is why I decided to come to speak at the AgeTech symposium in this health tech conference. You can learn more about me or connect at Https://www.LinkedIn.com/in/meidesign or watch our impact video: https://dub.sh/D4HImpact Love to connect with anyone in healthcare or social impact as well. Sorry to reach out late, with my middle sister’s recent sudden passing and care for my mom, I wasn’t sure if I was able to make to the conference.

Has anyone who is operating a NY LLC hired a CPA or attorney worth recommending? Any leads would be much appreciated.
15:46
We’re not a NYC LLC but for my startup I use Finvisor for fractional CFO and accounting and am happy with them. Happy to refer if helpful. On attorney, depends a bit on specific needs. I work with Gunderson Dettmer folks as our GC and think they have a big nyc office but are more geared towards vc backed ccorps so not sure for llcs. https://finvisor.com/
15:51
Thank you! I'll look into Finvisor and let you know if a referral will be helpful

Hello. I’m David Yoon AB ‘95. I’m sharing this as a die-hard fan of the Harvard Crimson Men’s Basketball Team and fellow Harvard alum Jeremy “Linsanity” Lin AB ‘10 (and I have no affinity whatsoever for the New York Knicks)! Karl Anthony-Towns is a big fan of Jeremy Lin! Who knew? Respect to KAT and Linsanity! Go Harvard Crimson! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DY7xGrwH1C7/?igsh=aWZxd2FjYXA2OHln

Morning all - for those following or attending NYC Tech Week, what are the most interesting themes, ideas, or companies you’re seeing emerge? Curious what’s generating the most buzz this year.
08:43
I attended an event hosted by Weights and Biases today. The focus was on orchestrating many agents (main and subagents) to work together on a specific ask / goal. That seems to be the frontier at the moment.
17:19
I was interested in that but didn't make it. Curious what were the insights and take aways?
17:20
It was primarily a demo of the W&B Weave product. Not much beyond that.
17:24
What's the point of their Weave product? Not familiar with it. Does it play traffic cop among agents?
17:25
It’s focused on observability of traces and helping build evals.
17:31
In the Claude code hackathon - hoping it will be good!
17:52
Ooh good luck! Would love to see what you build.

Has anyone been to the aws summit, is it worth going?
13:50
@69325251715301 If you use AWS then I think it’s worth going at least once. There are usually hands-on demos and interesting sessions. It’s great if you need help with something specific because you can get 1-on-1 support from AWS experts. I would suggest taking a look at the agenda to see if the topics align with what you are interested in!
14:50
Thank you @36314569298062! I am interested in backend side of agentic systems. Seems like there are a lot of interesting sessions this year~ I will check it out next week.

Hi all! Some of us in the HIT volunteer crowd are working on reigniting the in-person activities in NYC. We would love to make NYC a vibrant hub for HIT and we have a few things in the pipeline. We are a tight and mighty group and we are currently looking for a few more people to join us in planning and running events here. This will be a great opportunity to build strong bonds in-person with fellow alumni volunteers. We will have a couple of informational calls where we will share more. *Let me know if you are interested to be added!* HIT NYC volunteer info call - option 1 *Friday, June 26 · 3:00 – 3:30pm ET* HIT NYC volunteer info call - option 2 *Wednesday, July 1 · 5:00 – 5:30pm ET*
